List of (annotated) references: essential.
This should contain all the works you actually refer to in the text, in alphabetical order of author surname. (You will cover this in your tutorial group in Week Eight.)
The reference list should be annotated. You should include one or two sentences which describe the nature of the reference and its usefulness for the topic you have written about. Here’s an example of an entry:
Katz, J.E. & M. Aakhus (2002). (Eds). Perpetual Contact: Mobile Communication, Private Talk and Public Performance. Cambridge University Press. [Collection of chapters on use of mobile phones in a range of countries and among different user groups, e.g. mobile use by teens in Norway.]
The annotated reference list does not count towards the 2,000 word length.
