My views on this article, we must pursue research on embryonic stem cells is that pursuing research on embryonic stem cells is not good. From religious point of view, carrying out this research is same as committing murder. This is because basing on the moral and ethical issues, stem cell research denies the unborn babies rights for life. From the point of our religious views, human life should be protected and nobody including the scientists or doctors should end the life of human beings. Moreover, there is an indication that there is significant variation between the suspended embryo that is in liquid form ready to be implanted in a womb and unborn baby in the womb. Therefore, pursuing research on embryonic stem cells is not good because it is a crime and the human embryos fertilizing eggs will be destructed at their earlier stage of growth.

Thus, they point out that embryonic stem cell research should not be carried out thus another alternative should be used to help those suffering from diseases such as cancer, diabetes or heart diseases. However, there should be ethical concerns and standards that should be put in place to govern in the field of biomedicine. The federal government should fund the government hospitals in order to enable them carry out proper research. Nevertheless, the stem cells research is currently done in private hospitals most of which are not subjected to the National Institute of Health guidelines. Hence, there is need for government intervention in the field of medical research and ethical principles should be strictly followed while carrying out this research.
People should join hands and work together towards eliminating this research system because everyone has a right for life. For instance, President George Bush recently confronted everyone in the whiter house about his views on stem cell research. He wanted to know about the underlying principle on stem-cell research. He did not give any important advice but he consulted the doctors and scientists from the National Institute of Health on this issue. All the research carried out globally in clinics and laboratories indicated that the stem cells were extracted for fertility treatment but not producing children. It is believed that this cells can be implanted in the human bodies and in the process they may help in fighting against diseases such as diabetes, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
A lot of research needs to be carried out on other alternatives that are effective rather than research on stem cells research. The embryonic stem cell research will be worthwhile if only the federal government will fund the research activities. This is crucial because the theologians will be able to come up with other alternatives of treating diseases such as cancer and diabetes. Research provides a hope for countless scientific cures and breakthroughs for future. However, embryonic stem cells harvesting unlike adult stem cells harvesting destroys an embryo. This raises the question of life, law and religion thus there is need for more scientific research in order to come up with another alternatives other than research on embryonic stem cells.
