During this period you are expected to decide your topic and identify related academic literature (previous articles), previous dissertation and thesis and related academic books. Useful tools: University of West of England Online Library (EBSCO, e-Books, econpapers: www.econpapers.repec.org , previous dissertation: http://ethos.bl.uk ).
General advice. Work on a topic that has plenty previous academic literature.

Completion of Research Methods
Data Collection and Completion of Results and Analysis part – (Descriptive Statistics, Statistical techniques to Accept/ Reject Hypothesis, Qualitative data analysis)
Discussion of Results – Comparison with previous academic literature
Preparation of Conclusion (Summary and Conclusions, Recommendations, Limitations of the study, Directions of future research)
Preparation of Introduction Chapter (General Intro., Motivations for the study, Research objectives, Purpose of the Study and Structure of the Dissertation)
Overall changes and discussion with the supervisor.
Final Changes, printing and submission of the dissertation.
