Using examples from three of the films or shows we have watched, in conjunction with readings and lectures, describe how and why the processes of socialization, and various agents of socialization, impact the decisions people make in their lives.

There are 3 questions in total (below).

For EACH question the answer should be about 500 to 700 words:

(Please read the questions carefully and ANSWER them correctly, as this is my sociology exam!) Use “I” like “I would use….” to answer the questions if needed, as the answer is suppose to be from your perspective.

1. Social research methods are very important in sociology. For each of the three research method we have discussed–field research, experiments, interviews/surveys–first, describe a specific research topic, then a question related to that topic, and finally how you would study that topic using that particular research method. Be sure and use details from the films, readings, and lectures where needed to fully explain your topic, question, and why your method is the appropriate one to answer your research question.

2. Using examples from three of the films or shows we have watched, in conjunction with readings and lectures, describe how and why the processes of socialization, and various agents of socialization, impact the decisions people make in their lives. Some things you may want to think about are why is socialization so important, how does it continue over a persons life, how much of our decisions are our own decisions and how much are constrained by our social world.

3. In the various readings and films there were examples of social change. Construct a short essay about how and why social change is both a micro (individual level) and a macro (large scale social structures) level phenomenon, using examples from the films, readings, and lectures. How are these connected? Why might one impact the other? Use specific details from the readings, lectures, and films to explain your answer.

IMPORTANT: No sources needed, HOWEVER you need to use details and examples from the films, readings and lectures (use these films, readings and lectures (that I will upload) to help you answer the 3 questions (above)).
