This paper is needed ASAP! It is an introductory English class (ENG101), so it doesn’t need to be a high level paper, but it does need to be good enough to get at least a B. The paper is based of the Ramsey Score Method, and I am supposed to use the Skeleton outline method when planning it (if that helps). Also: • the merit of the argumentative proposition
• the merit of the argumentative proposition for the specific audience to whom you are writing.
• the value of the topic sentences. Be sure they are not statements of fact or quotations. Such sentences cannot be well developed. Ensure each topic sentence clearly relates to the argumentative proposition.
• the use of logos, pathos, and ethos: Look for the strongest examples of each, and mark them if you haven’t. Decide which of these three methods of persuasion is the most effective in the essay.
• the use of specifics: Consider the Ramsey score: Did the author include quotations, numbers, statistics, facts, and examples? Are there enough specifics (Remember, specifics are a form of logos)? Are there so many the audience might become bored or overwhelmed? NOTE: Look under important Documents in Bb to find out everything about the Ramsey Score. If you use this score in all your writing at school and even at work, you will be gratified by your readers’ reactions
. Lastly, The paper needs to be formatted with An Audience section (the audience in this case is anyone who opposes the stance on affirmative action that this paper takes), then a message section (which is basically the thesis statement, which also needs to be the last line of the first paragraph) , then a Purpose Section. These 3 sections are the first 3 sections of the paper, then the introductory paragraph begins. The “Purpose” or Thesis Statement is very important.
