You are required to write a 2000 word expository essay in response to the following statement:
\’ our image of the child is rich in potential, strong, powerful, competent and most of all, connected to adults and other children.\’

Your essay should include:
1. An introduction where you introduce the statement, state what you intend to cover in the essay, provide the information the reader will need to understand the topic and state how you will explore the statement, supported with evidence, in your body paragraphs

4. A reference list in APA style.
You must use academic literature to support your discussion.

With that in mind, you should refer to the ideas of others to help construct, support and validate your explanation, and illustrate your discussion through reference to this academic literature.
Your essay must be written in third person and must explain to your reader why your chosen characteristic is the most significant for primary school teachers. That means you need to develop a detailed explanation across the body of the essay and ensure you have well-reasoned points. Ensure you are clear about the differences between writing descriptively and writing analytically.
