150 Words MAXIMUM
Example:
Televised professional wrestling gained popularity in the mid 1950s and has consistently been a staple
of broadcast and cable television for over the past half century. Professional wrestling has undergone a
number of changes and facelifts, but some very common bonds have remained throughout it’s
popularity. The presentation of characters that were identifiable as heroes and villains, faces and heels,
or good guys and bad guys have provided the live/television audience the opportunity to assign praise
and blame. The opportunity to view punishment for a character the majority of the viewing public
believes to be deserving of such punishment provides the audience the chance to view punishment as
pleasure. I have been a fan of the industry since childhood, and believe the presentation of heel
characters is a driving force behind the industry.
