For the final assignment, your written analysis should address a number of important issues in compensation management. Write a comprehensive research paper detailing at least three major challenges and three future trends in each of the following compensation management issues. All of the following topics must be included in the final paper:

  • Expatriate pay systems,
  • Pay for union members,
  • Pay in the public sector, which includes local, state, or federal government,
  • The roles and responsibilities of the board of directors in developing and implementing executive pay,
  • The challenges for HRM and organizations in controlling costs while remaining competitive and attracting and retaining the best talent in the labor market, and
  • The impact of compensation programs on an organization’s culture and value system.

The final paper must be supported by a solid foundation in compensation concepts taken from the textbook as well as outside research. The research should be focused on current articles and publications in compensation.

Support your paper with a minimum of five (5) scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
