  1. What is voting?
  1. This is a type of decision making where a group of people express their answer in masses where one decision is selected by the majority number of people (Blurtit, 2011).
  2. In America, voting is for those people who have attained the age of eighteen years and above and they are of sound mind. Additionally, those people who have committed serious crimes are not supposed to vote in America.
  3. Voting is a way, which the taxpayers use in selecting their different representatives in the government (Scholastic, 2007).

Transition: Now, let us see the reasons why the people of America should vote.

  1. It is a right. This a right where people of America are not forced and they do not pay for the right. This because it is one of their democratic rights to vote in any kind of decision or person they think is right (Santa Clara University, 2011).
  2. It is the American people’s money. The money in which the government uses to develop the country is taxpayer’s money. The citizens or the voters of America are the taxpayers.
  3. It is a decision of who is to represent you. When one is voting, he or she is choosing the person who is going to represent him in the government and make the different decision for him or her.
  4. Every vote counts. One vote does not seem to be much but when they are joined with other votes, they become very many to represent a group in making the correct decision.

Conclusion

  1. Summary: The main reason as to why the Americans should vote is that they are voting for the person who is going to represent them in the government in the different decisions involving the money that they have contributed as taxpayers. Lastly, voting is the right of every American who is legible to vote. Additionally, every vote counts.
  2. Reinforce thesis: When you are a voter and you fail to vote in an election, do not complain to the government in any issue because you are not represented.
  • Final appeal: Voting is free and it does not cause anything to vote for the leader or the decision that you want. Therefore, there is no reason to fail in exercising your democratic right which can change your life
  1. Memorable ending: Never complain to anybody for your mistakes
