Placement journal (50%)
Prepare a placement journal in which you reflect on your work placement in terms of
(a) what was done,
(b) how it was done,
(c) explaining the rationales behind the tasks assigned,
(d) what experiences were gained doing the work required,
(e) what problems were encountered,
(f) what victories were experienced,
(g) how problems and successes were dealt with,
(h) how you have felt about the work done, experiences had, outputs created and possible effects,
(i) how you have gauged the relationship of practice to theory, and
(j) any other matters that you consider to have provided benefit or insight.
NB. Present your journal in a format or house style that suits
you but is also accessible and professional in appearance, free
from errors, and compliant with University practices on citation
and referencing.
Assessment criteria
1.Explain what was done and how, and discuss the
rationales behind the tasks assigned and the practical
skills developed (30%)8
2.Evaluate the opportunities/challenges encountered in light of the literature; and suggest how they were or could be optimized/addressed (50%)
3.Communicate in a scholarly professional format, free from errors, and compliant with scholarly practices on citation and referencing (20%)
