Review the material contained in the Guide for Presidential Debates distributed in class and watch the
vice presidential debate and all three (3) presidential debates.
In a series of papers, each no less than two (2) pages in length, tell me who “won” the debate and why.
Do not tell me what you think I want to hear. Tell me what you think and lead me through the process
that brought you to that conclusion. In your analysis, you should look at the candidates speaking style,
how they answered the moderator’s questions (whether they answered the moderator’s questions for the
matter), the difficulty level of the questions, who had a better command of the “facts”, how much sniping
went on, what was the tone of the discourse, etc.
