I wish to write a letter to my home owners insurance company to let them know I am unhappy with the way they handled a ‘claim’ that I made. I unfortunately do not have paper work to document my case…other than 1 receipt from the first repair place and then a receipt from the 2nd repair place. The story: Last year I contacted my insurance company reference a lightening strike that caused my refrigerator to stop working. Insurance adjuster came to home…plugged in the fridge. It came on, but it NEVER cooled. Repair cost of 120.00 for a new compressor. Fridge didn’t run correctly after that and last week had another repair of $200.00 done. I have lost 3 Refrigerator/freezers of food, lost time from work and stressed from the BS of the company. I purchased a new refrigerator so I don’t have to deal with constant repairs. I feel they should have helped pay for the new refrigerator as the old one never worked correctly after the adjuster was there. I would like to remind them that I do PAY a premium so when these things happen, they should be willing to reimburse me the cost. I’m just looking for a person that can get this in a rough draft form to get my point across and then I will fine tune it. I am upset and don’t wish to write a letter that I will later regret some of the things I had said.
