Paper format:
1. The topic should involve science/technology and the humanities. Humanities include:
painting and visual arts, sculpture/architecture, music and dance, theatre and cinema, literature/ philosophy.
Humanities in simple should be science and technology with art and philosophy
2. Use 6 sources.
3. Write at least six pages.
4. Have a title page, outline, and works-cited(all this is in addition to the six pages!)
5. You must include at some point in your discussion and as a source one of the works we have covered in class (this will be one of the six sources).
The stuff we covered in class are The Gay Science by Friedrich Nietzsche and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Please somehow link those two with Omar Khayyam in the paper. Mention this in the paper at some point not the whole paper.
6. Please use 2-3 quotes per page
7. Must give your opinion in the papa-er.e.g. use I in the paper
8. Have primary and secondary sources.
9. The writer probably knows but the introduction should be 2 paragraphs. The first should include why you choose this topic, why this topic is interest to you etc. Second paragraph should lead your reader through the paper. e.g. what you are gonna cover in your paper.
10. The paper should have an outline which will not be part of the six paper.
e.g Steroids
1. Intro
2. History of Steroids
3. Steroids in popular culture
4. Ethical issues involving steroids and sportsmanship.
5. Conclusion etc something like this.
This needs to be mentioned in the paper also e.g If you put title as introduction than you write about introduction.
If you are writing about the history of steroids than you put title of history of steroids and than write about history of steroids etc same way for all the other. Please write in order don’t put history of steroids and than you write something else there, write what goes under the title.
