Chapter 3 Discussion – Your Generation: From a Cultural Point of View
It is fairly easy to understand cultural differences between societies in the world. We can easily see that people vary from one society to the next. However, there are also cultural variations within a society.
For this discussion, you will examine, some of the specific issues or concerns of YOUR generation. Are any ideas counterculture? What subcultures have emerged from your generation? How have any of the issues of your generation expressed themselves culturally? How has your generation made its mark on society\’s collective, or wider society?
Instructions:
¥ Include references to course materials or other sources that explain what the terms counterculture, and subculture mean and how they relate to your discussion post.
¥ Clearly define and explain what you have determined is \”your\” generation.
¥ Discuss some of the specific issues or concerns of YOUR generation. Are any ideas counterculture? What subcultures have emerged from your generation? How have any of the issues of your generation expressed themselves culturally? How has your generation made its mark on society\’s collective, or wider society?
