The case analysis report should contain the following information:
I. Case title page – list the title, author(s) and other relevant information;
Abstract or executive summary – create a summary for the report and is usually around 150-200
words;
III. Main body (include tables or/and figures when necessary):
i. Introduction (opening statement) – address the firm name, background and the
importance of the problem(s);
ii. The challenges (problem statement) – state the current situation and the existing problems;
iii. Case analysis – provide the detailed analysis procedure, including situation analysis, data
analysis, etc.;
iv. Conclusions and recommendations – a summary of the report, give recommendations
about how to improve the situation;
IV. References;
V. Appendix – show some of the calculations or other relevant information that is indispensable to
the report (this part could be omitted).
Other general requirement for writing materials
• No more than 15 pages including tables, figures, cover page, table of content,
and references;
• 12 pt font, double-spaced, with one-inch margins for top, bottom and sides;
• Prepare a cover page (required);
• Number the pages, beginning after the cover page;
• Please indent the beginning of each new paragraph.
