You need to research your company using the LRC databases, the company website and the London Stock Exchange website to build a picture of the performance over the last 12 months. Other sites that might help include www.thisismoney.co.uk and Yahoo Finance.
In this assessment, you should include the following:
• An explanation of why you selected the company for analysis
• A table showing the share price of your chosen company on a monthly basis from July 2015 to July 2016.
• A comparison of the performance of your share with the FTSE 100 index.
• Your own graphical representation generated in Excel, showing both your company’s share price and the FTSE 100 price over the time period being reviewed
• An referenced analysis of the share performance through the year referring to the news and other events that you have researched
• A calculation of how many shares you would have purchased If you had invested £12,000 in your company 12 months ago, and a calculation of what their value would be today. You should complete your report with an explanation of how you judged whether or not this was a good performance.
